MY STORY
At The Literacy Ladder I aim to personalize every session to meet the needs of every student, and focus on areas in which the student has the potential to improve. Each session is flexible and designed to meet each individual need.
The Literacy Ladder began in 2016. I was teaching in a traditional classroom when a parent told me her son had dyslexia. My heart wanted to see this smart student believe in himself the way I did. I started learning more about dyslexia and discovered a deep passion to help students become victorious readers. That fourth grader and I started a journey together and he became one of the strongest readers in his grade! Since then, I have been blessed with more students and I am grateful for each and every one!

Dyslexia can be overwhelming. However, victory can be found with the right program and consistency. I want to walk through this journey with you. When we do things together, it's a lot less scary!

Your student deserves quality instruction. I went through two trainings with Susan Barton and I am Barton Certified at the Advanced Level.
After Wilson's three day training and year long practicum, I earned the title Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner.
I also took and passed the KPEERI exam which earned me the title Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist.
I am also a certified teacher in the state of Florida and a Step Up for Students Scholarship Provider.
